To everyone who clebrates American Thanksgiving around the world: Happy Thanksgiving!  I just returned from a two week trip that took me to Tokyo (Tokyo kicks ass!!!), Singapore (soon to be Demigod of Tequila Devin K. had dinner with G. Bush!! while we were there!), Kuala Lumpur (Idris and his fish are coming to your town soon), Hong Kong (Thank you Luis, Grant and Sherman and congrats on Agave 2! in Wan Chai) and Macao (Jonathan- you were right about the ladies).
     
So where do I start?  Tokyo for me is the pulse of Asia.  It is New York x 2!  London may be slightly more cosmopolitan but nothing gets past Tokyo and Tokyo does not sleep.  I wish to thank Demigoddess of tequila Shoshana L. for putting me in touch with Kazou and his float center.  Anyone who has not tried a semsory deprivation tank should try one.  I am hooked.  It is an intense and unbleivable form of relaxation!
     
Did I mention how easy it is to enjoy Tequila in Tokyo?  On my one night out Jonathan, some industry people and myself had no problem polishing oiff a bottle of Paradiso, El tesoro Añejo and Arette Añejo  in a matter of 2-3 hours! Waking up the next day with no hangover : priceless!  Finally tried Fugu or blowfish at a restaurant called Firefox in Roponggi.  It has a faintly rubbery texture when done in sashimi which I found boring.  However we also enjoyed it deep fired and I loved it!  And the fact that I can write about it only proves that some very serious, highly trained fugo chef prepared our meal!!!  Great to be alive.  I would most certainly eat Fugu for a Tommy's Margarita!!!  Interestingly it is refreshing to see young people move away from consuming what their parents drank: scotcth and cognac over to new things like wine, cocktails and in a few circles even Tequila.  Yipee!!!
     
Before I go on a huge thanks to Singapore Airlines.  Though many air;lines claim to be the best and I am loyal to United ( I am so glad Singapore is part of the Star Alliance), Singapore Airlines has the most incredible service!  Thank you !!!  If you are going to this part of the world ,  Singapore Airlines should be your carrier!
